Embed a Trust Center card
A published Trust Center page can be shown on the customer’s own website as a small card inside an <iframe>. The card is a summary that links out to the full page. Only the websites you list may display it.
What the embed shows
Section titled “What the embed shows”The card shows the same summary the public page header shows:
- the organization’s logo and name
- “Security posture · verified by Breeze”
- the summary line (how many Breeze-verifiable controls are shown and how many are met)
- the date the page was last verified, and a “Verification paused” note when the page is stale (not evaluated in the last 24 hours)
- a View the full trust page link, which opens the full page in a new tab
The card never shows individual controls, documents, the method section or anything that is not already on the public page. It has no scripts and no forms.
Turn it on
Section titled “Turn it on”- Open the organization, then the Trust Center tab.
- Find Embed on your website.
- Add each website that will show the card, for example
https://www.example.com, and select Save websites. Saving requires multi-factor authentication. - Copy the iframe snippet into the website’s HTML.
<iframe src="https://breeze.example.com/portal/trust/embed/<partner>/<org>" title="Security posture card" width="100%" height="160" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin"></iframe>Until at least one website is listed, the embed URL answers 404 and nothing can frame it.
Rules for allowed websites
Section titled “Rules for allowed websites”Each entry is an exact origin: https://, a host name, and an optional port.
httpsonly.http://addresses are refused.- No paths, queries or fragments (
https://www.example.com/aboutis refused, not shortened). - No wildcards (
https://*.example.com), IP addresses, localhostor single-label host names. www.example.comandexample.comare different websites; list both if both show the card.- At most 10 websites per page.
- International domain names are stored in their punycode form (
https://bücher.exampleis saved ashttps://xn--bcher-kva.example).
When changes take effect
Section titled “When changes take effect”The list is a live setting. It is not part of the published snapshot, so changing it needs no republish.
- Removing a website takes effect on the next load of the embed. The card and the embed responses are never cached (
Cache-Control: no-store). - A card that is already open in a visitor’s browser stays until that visitor reloads the page.
- Unpublishing the page stops the embed everywhere on the next load.
Nested frames
Section titled “Nested frames”Browsers check every frame above the card, not only the one that contains it. If the website that shows the card is itself framed by another site, that outer site must be on the list too.
The full page is never framable
Section titled “The full page is never framable”Only /portal/trust/embed/... can be framed. The full trust page, previews and gated-document links always answer with X-Frame-Options: DENY, and in production also with frame-ancestors 'none'.
Behind your own reverse proxy
Section titled “Behind your own reverse proxy”The portal sets the framing headers itself: frame-ancestors lists your websites and X-Frame-Options is removed. A proxy in front of Breeze that adds a second Content-Security-Policy to /portal/trust/embed/ responses breaks the embed, because browsers enforce every CSP they receive. A proxy-added X-Frame-Options: DENY is ignored by modern browsers when frame-ancestors is present, but it still blocks the card in older browsers. Keep both off that path; see the note in TLS and reverse proxies.
